The Canadian Auto Workers' union is expected to issue 72 hour strike notice to Air Canada late this evening. The CAW represents customer service agents and ticket takers at the airline.
Air Canada is demanding pension roll backs from all its employees, including flight attendants - represented by CUPE.
The CAW expects picket lines to go up Tuesday morning at the Edmonton and Calgary airports - and they are asking for supporters to come out and give them a hand.
Please come out between 5:00-8:00 am and help out. The pickets are expected to start inside each airport at the ticket booths for as long as possible before being moved outside. Bring your signs, flags and voices to show support for a dignified retirement for Air Canada employees.
