Equal Opportunities

Mandate:

This Committee will work towards ways of ensuring equal opportunities for all and encourage our members to take their full and rightful place in CUPE, the Labour movement, the work place and society. This Committee will place special emphasis on the rights of women, lesbians and gay men, people with disabilities, age issues of aging and youth and any other group requiring special attention.

This Committee will endeavour to build an awareness of Equal Opportunity, networking through any and all channels open to them. This Committee will promote education and act as a resource on Equal Opportunities issues. This Committee will also work in conjunction with the Committee Against racism and Discrimination on employment equity and other issues of discrimination.
